The interbank average forex rate today February 22 is retained at 20,828 dong/US dollar as announced by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), remaining unchanged for over seven consecutive working weeks (44 working days).

This is the longest period the interbank average forex rate has been kept stable since early 2011.

The US dollar selling price at Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank for Foreign Trade (Vietcombank-VCB) decreased 10 dong while the US dollar selling price remained unchanged at many other banks.

The forex rate ceiling applicable for commercial banks today is still 21,036 dong/US dollar. Currently, commercial banks list the US dollar prices below the ceiling by 180-190 dong.

Particularly, at Vietcombank, the US dollar buying-selling prices are quoted at 20,810- 20,860 dong each, remaining unchanged in buying price from late previous day and decreasing 10 dong in selling price day on day.

Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) also raised the US dollar buying price by 5 dong each.

At Eximbank and ACB, the US dollar buying-selling prices are stable from yesterday.
